Band C – £38,000 to £42,000 per annum

Role Overview

As a Lead / Senior AV Engineer at Knowledge, you are the technical anchor on projects — responsible for taking ownership of complex installations from start to finish. You’ll work closely with clients on-site, translating project requirements into flawless execution while leading and mentoring other engineers. Beyond installation, you will uphold technical standards, drive quality outcomes, and champion a culture of safety and continuous learning across the team. You’ll be trusted to solve challenging technical issues, make strategic on-site decisions, and elevate the performance of both people and systems in real time. The role will involve working closely with the Head of Engineering who overseas and coordinates all projects.

Engineering Roles – 40 hours per week, typically Monday to Friday 9am to 5.30pm but occasional out of hours and weekend work


Key Responsibilities

  • Act as on-site lead engineer and main point of contact for clients

  • Manage and coordinate engineers on-site, ensuring quality and efficiency

  • Deliver and oversee installation of:

    • LED video walls

    • LCD displays

    • Projectors

    • Audio systems

    • Network cabling

    • Video conferencing systems

  • Configure, commission, and fault-find on systems

  • Share knowledge and upskill engineers, improving overall team capability

  • Ensure compliance with RAMS, method statements, and company H&S procedures

  • Proactively resolve technical or logistical challenges on-site


Required Skills & Experience

  • Extensive experience in professional AV installation (LED & LCD Displays, Audio Systems, Control Systems, VC Systems and Networking)

  • Proven experience leading teams on-site

  • Strong client-facing and communication skills

  • Full UK Driving Licence

  • Preferable experience with:

    • Novastar

    • Brompton

    • Colourlight

    • Samsung LSM
