Events Lead / Senior Engineer
Band C – £38,000 to £42,000 per annum
Reports to: Head of Events
Role Overview
As an Events Lead / Senior Engineer, you are at the forefront of planning and executing live event builds and de-rigs. Beyond technical build skills, you will be responsible for coordinating teams, working with clients and stakeholders, and ensuring that every event installation runs smoothly from planning through to completion. You will oversee temporary structures, modular builds, BeMatrix systems, timber scenic elements, and more — all under tight schedules typical of live environments.
Events Roles – 40 hours per week, typically Monday to Friday 9am to 5.30pm but roles do involve out of hours and weekend work depending on event schedules.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and manage event builds and de-rigs
Act as the main client-facing contact on-site
Lead and coordinate event engineering teams
Build and dismantle:
BeMatrix systems
Timber and scenic structures
Ensure health & safety compliance at all times
Mentor and upskill event engineers
Required Skills & Experience
Strong experience in live events or exhibition builds
Proven leadership on-site
Preferable experience with BeMatrix and woodwork
Preferable experience of LCD and LED installation
Preferable experience of CMS/Digital Signage software
Full UK driving licence
