Junior AV Engineer

Band A – £26,000 to £30,000 per annum
Reports to: Head of Engineering


Role Overview

The Junior AV Engineer role is designed for someone eager to build a career in audiovisual technology. You’ll support installation teams on site, learning how to handle specialist equipment, interpret technical drawings, and apply industry safe working practices. Through structured on-the-job development, you’ll gradually take on greater responsibility, advancing your skill set while contributing to real-world AV projects across sectors.

Engineering Roles – 40 hours per week, typically Monday to Friday 9am to 5.30pm but occasional out of hours and weekend work


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with AV installations and de-rigs

  • Learn installation and commissioning of:

    • LED screens

    • LCD displays

    • Projectors

    • Audio systems

    • Network cabling

  • Maintain tools, equipment, and safe working areas

  • Progressively take on more responsibility as skills develop


Required Attributes

  • Strong willingness to learn and develop

  • Reliable, punctual, and proactive

  • Full UK driving licence
