Junior AV Engineer
Band A – £26,000 to £30,000 per annum
Reports to: Head of Engineering
Role Overview
The Junior AV Engineer role is designed for someone eager to build a career in audiovisual technology. You’ll support installation teams on site, learning how to handle specialist equipment, interpret technical drawings, and apply industry safe working practices. Through structured on-the-job development, you’ll gradually take on greater responsibility, advancing your skill set while contributing to real-world AV projects across sectors.
Engineering Roles – 40 hours per week, typically Monday to Friday 9am to 5.30pm but occasional out of hours and weekend work
Key Responsibilities
Assist with AV installations and de-rigs
Learn installation and commissioning of:
LED screens
LCD displays
Projectors
Audio systems
Network cabling
Maintain tools, equipment, and safe working areas
Progressively take on more responsibility as skills develop
Required Attributes
Strong willingness to learn and develop
Reliable, punctual, and proactive
Full UK driving licence
