Skilled Events Engineer

Band B – £32,000 to £36,000 per annum
Reports to: Head of Events


Role Overview

The Skilled Events Engineer is a key member of our events delivery team, tasked with constructing and dismantling high-quality event environments. You’ll follow detailed build plans, collaborate with colleagues across disciplines, and contribute practical experience to rapid deployment scenarios. This role requires strong hands-on ability and adaptability — helping deliver memorable venues that exceed client expectations.

Events Roles – 40 hours per week, typically Monday to Friday 9am to 5.30pm but roles do involve out of hours and weekend work depending on event schedules


Key Responsibilities

  • Build and de-rig event and exhibition structures

  • Assist with BeMatrix and timber/scenic builds

  • Load, unload, and prepare equipment

  • Follow build schedules, drawings, and method statements

  • Maintain high standards of workmanship and safety


Required Skills & Experience

  • Experience in events, exhibitions, or staging environments

  • Ability to work efficiently under time pressure

  • Full UK driving licence


Desirable

  • BeMatrix experience

  • Woodwork or scenic build experience
